The Way of Plant Medicine
Indigenous Healing Practices of the Garifuna

January 9th – January 16th, 2016

Retreat Info

Healing the body, mind, and spirit requires plenty of sleep, eating whole, real foods, and spending quality time outdoors in nature to ground and restore the fibers of our being. This Mountain Spirit Wellness Retreat is a highly individualized 8 day vacation program where all attention is focused on YOUR body/mind healing needs.

This wellness vacation package includes all meals, luxury accommodations, airport pick up, all ground transport, Plant Medicine Workshops, cultural immersion visits to indigenous Garifuna villages, tours to sacred sites, and much more. One of the key offerings of this retreat is the healing your physical body through "vibrational eating".  The menu includes life-enhancing fruits and vegetables so that you can restore your inner strengths, enhance your healing powers, and rejuvenate your light body. All meals are deliciously vegetarian and are prepared by local chefs.

Another key aspect of this retreat are the three spiritual cleansing baths for each participant.  Agouni are a traditional Garifuna healing modality used primarily for bringing the three different levels of body, mind, and spirit into alignment.  In our culture, Agouni are required before any ancestral ceremony and after consultation with a Buyei (Shaman). Garifuna medicine people prescribe Agouni to promote clear thinking, and provide direction in life long issues. The water, herbs, and elements used in Agouni are naturally charged with properties that repair breaks in the human auric field, and serve to activate protective ancestral spirits. All plants will be specifically chosen to meet your individual healing needs.

One of the most important things you will learn on this retreat is the systematic removal of Pain Seeds from your own body, a Garifuna healing method known as “Assupahani”. On the final day of your journey, we will focus on "Taking it all with you".  At this time, you will be provided with the tools you need to remember what you learned, and maintain your upgraded light body.  Protection and training will be given so that upon your return to the "real world", you can skillfully navigate the twists and turns of daily life.
